Our Story

Baie Linda was conceived in 2020 (yes it was a crazy year!) by Pauline Jurkevicius, a French designer, after the birth of her first child during the long hours of day feeds and night feeds. Her vision was to create affordable, colourful, demi-fine jewellery that could be worn every day by everyone - women, men and children. It was also important that the brand have a positive production story and be inclusive.

Her love story with jewellery began at age 5 in Thailand when she was gifted her first pair of sterling silver hoop earrings. Jewellery holds the treasures of our memories and it is her hope that Baie Linda's jewellery will hold your memories.

Our style

Baie Linda jewellery designs are minimalistic and are all about giving you the power to be the stylist.

We try to take a modular approach and offer some interchangeable jewellery components so that you can let your personality shine through. For example, chains are sold separately from pendants so you can mix and match according to your tastes. Our vision is to bring you pieces that can be worn or styled in various ways.

We also love colour so we love to feature precious and semi-precious gemstones in our pieces. Keep an eye out as we will regularly drop limited edition designs featuring our latest selection of gemstones.

How our jewellery is made

Our jewellery is handmade in Europe by skilled craftsmen whose families have been making jewellery for over 100 years. Each piece is handcrafted with love and care.

We believe in slow fashion so our collections are produced in small batches only, to avoid overproduction. Once a design is out of stock there is no guarantee that we will stock it again.

Precious metals

Our ready-to-ship collection is primarily made in recycled sterling silver that is gold plated with 3 microns of 24k gold. All our pieces are nickel free and hypoallergenic. By using this combination of metals, we are able to offer quality jewellery at affordable prices. Find out more about our gold plating here.

If you would like any of our pieces in 9k, 18k or 24k solid gold, we can produce them for you. Please allow a 4-6 week lead time before shipment. We will try our best to use recycled solid gold - we want to be kind to our planet. Contact us to place your order.

As we want our jewellery's life cycle to be circular, we offer a jewellery recycling initiative.

Gemstones

We love hunting for gemstones for our collections. The more colourful the better. Let us introduce you to all the colours of the rainbow!

Our gemstones are sourced as close to the gem cutters and mining communities as possible so that the sale of these precious stones directly benefits them. We strive to make sure that our gemstones are conflict-free and high quality.

Our designer

Baie Linda's founder and designer is Pauline who comes from a graphic/digital design background. Ever since the gift of her first piece of jewellery, she has had an immense fascination for jewellery design and how people wear their pieces. For her, jewellery is a language that people use to communicate their identity.

Having grown up and lived in over 5 countries, Pauline brings a multicultural element to her designs and believes that our pieces hold parts of our life story.
